The Recreational Esports League Platform NXT UP Esports is Live Now
The recreational esports league platform NXT UP Esports went live on September 9, 2020. It will host various programs designed to help young esports players aged 13–15 to learn the essential life skills through competitive gaming.
During the launch of the platform, NXT UP Esports’ founder Luke Zelon said that players would gain insights from its high-level coaches to learn how to achieve a common goal as a team.
Apart from offering recreation esports leagues, NXT UP Esports is aimed at encouraging participation of women in esports and gaming. A platform like this, where women can compete against their male counterparts, will allow them to turn their passion into a profession, said NXT UP Esports.
The leagues hosted on the platform will be a combination of professional esports leagues and traditional sports and players will have the option of engaging in either weekly practices or regular games.
NXT UP Esports also collaborated with the highlight capturing mobile application GaZoom. The application will enable players to capture special moments from their plays and share them on different social channels of NXT UP Esports.
Another significant announcement from NXT UP Esports was the NXT UP Esports Scholarship Program that will open to students in January 2021. The program will provide financial assistance to students who wish to enroll in esports or gaming courses and pursue a career in it. NXT UP Esports clarified that a portion of the league’s participation fees would be used to fund the scholarships.
With the growing popularity of esports and so many young and amateur esports players out there, the launch of the recreational esports league platform NXT UP Esports is the decision made at the right time.
